- 4 banana peels
- ½ lemon, juiced
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Garlic powder to taste
- All-purpose flour for breading
- 1 egg beaten
- Breadcrumbs for breading
- Oil for frying
Wash the banana peels very well to remove any impurities.
Lightly flatten the peels with a meat mallet to break up the fibers and help them absorb the seasoning.
Season with lemon juice, salt, black pepper, paprika and garlic powder, mixing well to coat.
Bread each piece by coating it in flour, then beaten egg and finally breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil over medium-high heat and fry until the peels are golden and crisp on all sides.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Adjust the salt if needed and serve right away for the best crunch.
